Design Requirements

To reduce the processing time for your artwork , we advise you to use the following programs :
- 6 -Photoshop – CS2 (PC)
-Adobe Illustrator 8 -CS3 (PC)
-CorelDraw 6-13 (PC)

Finished artwork submitted from the customer on the following media :
- Compact discs CD-R, CD-RW (Pc, Mac)
- By e-mail.

General requirements for the preparation of the artwork:
Do not use for the preparation of the artwork applications that do not support PostScript CMYK colour separation and do not take into account the peculiarities of prepress (eg : Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word , etc.).
You may use Microsoft Word (PC) for a typing of significant amount of textual information . However, the text must not contain the characters ” newline ” at the end of lines , these characters should be only at the end of paragraphs. Unacceptable alignment of the text by using the spaces. Text should be typed without formatting attributes .
Use only letters in names of files , colours , styles. If possible, use fonts Type I. If you use TrueType and Type I, make sure that their names do not match, or you may get unexpected results . Do not use the system fonts. If you are not sure of the quality font and do not plan to make changes to the text information after sending us the original model , be sure to set the text to “curves” . The number of “nodes” in the block should not exceed 1200 . All the colours that you use in a publication must be converted to CMYK (CMYK Process), or Pantone solid coated.
Do not leave elements of make-up painted with colors of system RGB. If any color must be printed in an additional run-through , it should be clearly specified as Spot Color.
Defining triadic (Process) and die (Spot) colour , use catalogs model prints PANTONE. Even the most expensive monitors can not accurately reproduce the production print colour on the screen.
Black-and- white raster images should be saved as grayscale.

All design elements and illustrations in the publication should be stored in formats: for bitmap – PSD and vector – EPS, CDR, AI. In this case the use of files with LZW compression is impossible. We do not accept models with the effect of color blends , transparency overlay effect . We do not advise the use of images saved in other formats ( for example : JPG, BMP, GIF , etc.). The use of objects placed in the publication using OLE and DDE is impermissible .
All of the fonts used should be attached in separate ” folders ” to the artwork, as well as all the imported elements are placed in the publication. All used raster images should be sent in a separate file in layers (PSD in layers ) .
Resolution of raster images should be at least 300 dpi.
Rotate raster images , which must be rotated, by means not typesetting program but a training program directly (e.g. : Photoshop) before wraping into the rage. This fully applies also to scaling and cropping pictures.

Some notes for the preparation of the artwork:

Adobe Photoshop
The file must match the color model CMYK. Without the need for complex effects to text, do not type it in packages of raster graphics. If the text is already typed : do not change the parameters Image Size, be ready for the fact that the printed text (especially small ) can be blurry , illegible , with a ” ragged ” edges.
CorelDRAW
Do not place a Spot Color on a separate page ( there is a great chance to make a mistake in the future during their combination ), use for them separate layers in the one-page document. If you prepare cook any element in CorelDRAW to place it in the layout file , save it as EPS- file, then resave by Adobe Illustrator.
All fonts must be converted to “curves” , if you do not intend to add to or change the text information after sending us your artwork.
While preparing the artwork, use PANTONE Process Color ( for triad CMYK-colors) and PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM Color ( for colors, going in separately, not CMYK, run).

Requirements for the design and artwork for polyethylene tubes , silk screen printing method :

1. Max size of the printing area in one paint 165mm x 157mm
2 . The minimum raster density is 5 % .
3 . The minimum size of the printed type is 4 pt.
4 . The minimum print size , printed in one paint, 6 pt – type with serifs , 4 pt – type without serifs .
5 . The minimum size of printed stroke – 0.1 mm.
6. The minimum size of the stroke printed in reversing in one paint 0.2 mm.
7. The minimum size of the point printed in reversing in one paint 0.2 mm.
8. Max halftone screen frequency112 Lpi.
9. Color misregistration by 0.3 mm is allowed.
10 . When applying color to the color the reduction of the lower object by 0.2 mm is necessary.
11. Matte or gloss varnishes .
12. Printing without varnish is possible.
13. Selective laquering with gloss varnish is possible .
14. When printing with positioning misalignment of colors 1mm is allowed.
15. Printing CMYK.
16. Printing with metallic inks is possible .
17. Number of colors :
Ø 25 ÷ 50 mm – 4 + varnish , 5 (without varnish) ;
Ø 35mm , 50mm – 5 + varnish , 6 (without varnish) ;

Requirements for the design and artwork for polyethylene tubes , offset printing :

1. The minimum type size that will be printed by over print in the reverse windows – 6 pt.
2 . The minimum raster density is 5 %.
3 . The minimum size of the printed type is 4 pt.
4 . The minimum type size , printed in one paint, 5 pt – type with serifs , 4 pt – type without serifs .
5 . The minimum size of printed stroke 0,076 mm.
6. The minimum size of the stroke printed in reversing in one paint 0.1 mm.
7. The minimum size of the point printed in reversing in one paint 0.2 mm.
8. Max halftone screen frequency 122 Lpi.
9. Color misregistration by 0.3 mm is allowed (if not distorting the design).
10 . The minimum point size – 0.1 mm.
11. While using the gradients (” Stretch “) of color in design , we do not
advise to bring a raster gradient below 5 %.
12. Printing CMYK + 4 colors Spot Color ( 8 colors).
13. For tubes ∅ 19 mm – up to 5 colors Spot Color.

Requirements for the design and artwork for polyethylene tubes, flexo printing

1.The minimum raster density is 3 %
2.Printing 6 color flexo + 1color silkscreen .
3. The minimum size of the printed type is 3 pt.
4. The minimum type size , printed in reversing in one paint, 5 pt – type with serifs , 3 pt – type without serifs .
5.The minimum type size , printed in reversing in two colors (with the obligatory trapping ) 7 pt type with serifs , 5 pt type without serif . However, in most cases, this text will appear unreadable ( this also applies to types with higher point , in average up to 12 points ) . Therefore, this text should be with monocolor inking with thickness 0.038 mm .
6. The minimum type size that will be printed by over print in the reverse windows 7 pt.
7. The minimum size of printed stroke – 0.07 mm .
8. The minimum type size , printed in reversing in one paint- 0.1 mm; in two colors – 0.2 mm. Reversing stroke in two colors should be with monocolor inking, since the above-mentioned parameters are not stable . Stable thickness of the line in reversing – 0.5 mm.
9.The minimum point size – 0.1 mm.
10. The minimum point size , made in reversing in one paint – 0.2 mm; in two colors – 0.3 mm.
11.Color and varnish misregistration by 0.3 mm is allowed (if not distorting the design)
12. While using the gradients (” Stretch “) of color in design , we do not
advise to bring a raster gradient below 2%.
13. Maximum amount of ink printed in one print point should not exceed 280%. Thus , the elements with filling 250% and more should occupy no more than 30 % of print .
14.Colored lines thinner than 0.75 mm and text less than 6 pt with full-color printing is recommended to set the primary colors (CMYK).
15. Max halftone screen frequency 142 Lpi.
16. Selective lacquering with matt and gloss varnish .
17.Before creating designs with complicated requirements, please, consult with the Executor about the compliance with specific technical requirements.
18. Executor is not responsible for grammatical errors in the text of the document , given by the Customer.
19. In case unserviceability of the design or exceess of the number of colors, specified in the order, Executor has the right to correct the artwork.

Requirements for the design and artwork for aluminum tubes , offset printing :

1. The maximum number of colors – 4.
2 . The minimum type size printed by over print in the reverse windows – 8 pt.
3 . Minimum raster density – 10%.
4 . The minimum size of the printed type – 4 pt.
5 . The minimum type size , printed in one paint 6 pt – type with serifs , 5 pt – type without serifs.
6. The minimum size of the printed stroke – 0,076 mm .
7. The minimum size of the printed stroke in reversing in one paint – 0.1 mm.
8. The minimum size of the point printed in reversing in one paint – 0.2 mm.
9. Max halftone screen frequency 90 Lpi.
10 . The minimum point size – 0,1 mm.
11.If you use in the design gradients (” Stretch “) of color , it is not recommended to bring a raster gradient below 10 %.
12. Misalignment of colors by 0.3 mm is allowed (not distorting the design).

The requirements for design and artwork for laminate tubes :

1. Minimum raster density 3%.
2 . The minimum size of printed type – 3 pt.
3 . The minimum type size , printed in reversing in one paint 5 pt – type with serifs , 3 pt – type without serifs .
4 . The minimum type size , printed in reversing in two colors (with the obligatory trapping ) 7 pt type with serifs , 5 pt type without serifs . However, in most cases, this text will appear unreadable ( this also applies to types with higher point , in average up to 12 points ) . Therefore, this text should be with monocolor inking with thickness 0.038 mm .
5 . The minimum type size that will be printed by over print in the reverse windows 5 pt.
6. The minimum size of printed stroke is 0.07 mm .
7. The minimum size of printed stroke in reversing in one paint – 0.1 mm; in two colors – 0.2 mm. Reversing stroke in two colors should be with monocolor inking, since the above-mentioned parameters are not stable . Stable thickness of the line in reversing – 0.5 mm.
8. The minimum point size – 0.1 mm.
9. The minimum size of the point printed in reversing in one paint – 0.2 mm; in two paints – 0.3 mm.

Requirements for the design and artwork for of laminate tubes, cold stamping :

1. The minimum size of printed type – 6pt .
2 . The minimum size of printed stroke – 0.2 mm.
3 . Misalignment of colors and stamping by 0.5 mm is allowed (not distorting the design).
4 . The minimum size of the point – 0,2mm .
5 . Cold stamping with silver or gold foil.
